5 Sep 2011 | Mr. Estephan read a lecture to the optometrists in the “Peterborough” region about AMD. I called for this meeting and I asked Novartis Company to fund it, which they did and paid for the hotel’s meeting room and dinner. Then, I organised the invitations with the Medical representative and we sent them to the opticians in the community. The aim of the meeting was to give the local optometrists training on dry and wet AMD, to describe both forms of the disease and to explain the referral system to the optometrists. |
